Three steps, in this order.

We invert the textbook. Touch it before you read about it — names and explanations land harder when you've already felt the phenomenon.

STEP 01

Play.

Open a live simulation and start poking. Change the variables. Watch what happens. No instructions, no jargon — just play.

STEP 02

Name.

Once you've seen the pattern, we tell you what it's called. The vocabulary sticks because it's already attached to something you've felt.

STEP 03

Explain.

Now read the why. Equations, mechanisms, and theory — finally with the experience to anchor them to.

The simulation moves with you.

Every experiment is a real-time sandbox. Drag, swap, rewind — the underlying physics, chemistry, and math respond instantly. There's no quiz gating your curiosity. Make a mess. Then make sense of it.

  • Real equations underneath — no faked animations
  • Live graphs that draw themselves as you tinker
  • Hints surface only when you ask — never as walls of text
  • Reset to defaults in a single click — break things freely

Pick a lab. Start tinkering.

Four subjects, dozens of interactive experiments. Each one a tiny world you can break and rebuild.

Built for everyone in the room.

Students stuck in dry textbooks. Teachers running out of demo time. Parents trying to make Sunday afternoon productive.

For students

Learn by doing — not by re-reading.

Skip the wall of definitions. Get to the part where things move, react, and reveal themselves to you.

  • Self-paced, no homework pressure
  • Hints appear only when you want them
  • Pick up exactly where you stopped
For teachers

A working demo for every concept.

Drop a live simulation onto the projector. Let students change a variable mid-lesson and watch the room get loud.

  • Project-ready on any classroom screen
  • No setup, no logins for in-class use
  • Aligned with NGSS and IGCSE syllabi
For parents

Screen time that doesn't feel wasted.

A reason to hand over the tablet without guilt. They'll come back asking what "amplitude" means.

  • No ads, ever
  • Weekly progress emails (opt-in)
  • Free family plan up to three kids

Built for how curiosity actually shows up.

No prerequisites

Start at any experiment. If you can move a slider, you can start learning.

Tablet & desktop

Designed for bigger screens, where simulations have room to breathe.

Resume anywhere

Pick up the experiment exactly where you left off, on any device.

The "oh — that's what that means" moment.

I'd been told what refraction was a hundred times. It only clicked when I could push the light beam through the glass myself. Five minutes of playing beat a year of diagrams.

I projected the pendulum lab during a Year 9 lesson and suddenly the kids were arguing about whether mass matters. I didn't have to say a word — the simulation made them care.

My son used to dread science homework. Now he opens LearnLab on his own and tries to "break" the chemistry sims. I've stopped fighting screen time and started watching him explain mole ratios to his sister.

Questions, briefly answered.

Is LearnLab actually free?
Yes. Every subject has a free tier with most of the core experiments unlocked. A small set of advanced labs and progress reports sit behind an optional paid plan. No credit card is required to start.
What ages is it for?
Designed for middle and high school students — roughly ages 12 to 18. The interface scales: a 12-year-old can poke at the same simulation a senior is dissecting for an exam.
Does it match my school's syllabus?
Labs are tagged against NGSS (US), IGCSE, IB MYP/DP, and CBSE so teachers can quickly find experiments that line up with what's being taught this week.
Does this replace a textbook?
No, and it shouldn't. LearnLab is the thing you do before the textbook — so when you do eventually read it, the words have something to stick to.
Will it work on a school Chromebook or iPad?
Yes. LearnLab runs in any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox — on tablets and desktops. We don't currently support phone-sized screens because the simulations need room.
How does sign-in work?
One click with a Google account. We don't ask for passwords, and we never email marketing junk. Progress syncs across every device you sign in on.
